SideoutCam
Record volleyball games with a live scoreboard, and keep score from a second phone.
SideoutCam is a free, personal-use iPhone app made for filming high school and club volleyball. It works as a pair:
- SideoutCam: the camera phone on a tripod. It records each set with a live scoreboard in the corner of the video, saves highlight clips you mark during play, and can stream the game live. Games are kept on the phone, so you can share or upload them later.
- SideoutTally: the phone or iPad in your hand. Tap to score points and end sets, start and stop recording, mark highlights, track lineups and player stats, set up games and see what the camera sees. The two connect directly over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so no internet or network is needed in the gym.
Optional Google Drive, YouTube and live streaming
If you choose to, you can sign in with Google in SideoutCam and upload a game's videos to your own Google Drive folder and your own YouTube channel and playlist, and stream games live to your YouTube channel, a Facebook Page or another streaming service. Nothing is uploaded until you tap Upload, and nothing is streamed until you tap Go Live.
SideoutCam has no servers. Your videos, team information and sign-ins stay on your phone, and go only to your own accounts when you upload or stream.
